Their smart systems enable reliable metering and distribution of energy and efficient maintenance of distribution networks. Case Lining: Smart Water Management Systems
Tero Auvinen leads the Digital and Automation department at Lining. He has over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. In addition to his main role, he serves as the chairman of the Finnish Water Forum’s Smart Water group, providing him with an excellent perspective on Finnish and international water sector digitalization. In his presentation, Tero will discuss intelligent water guidance solutions based on IoT and AI technologies.
Oy Lining Ab specializes in technical solutions for water supply and sewage water lines and facilities. Lining is the market leader in the water sector in Finland, holding over 50% market share. Oy Lining Ab is part of the international technology and industrial business group Indutrade, which includes over 200 companies in more than 30 countries.

A look at emerging IoT technologies and trends
As Chief Technology Officer, Martin Whitlock leads Telenor Connexion’s global technology team, driving major technology-enabled initiatives as part of the company’s expanding business strategy. Martin has extensive experience from the telecom industry. Prior to taking on this role, he held the position as Director at Northstream, where he was responsible for strategy assessments, sourcing projects and change management engagements with a broad range of clients.
Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management with major in Radio Communications Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
